They're here....

That's right, boys and girls!  Wild ducks have arrived to Shelburne Museum!

Did you know?

A baby duck is called a duckling, a daddy is a drake and a mommy is a hen. A whole group of ducks is called a team or paddling!

You might think ducks only quack, but we actually make all sorts of sounds! Ducks can squeak, grunt, groan, chirp, whistle, bray and growl!  Do you think I should give the Quack Pack a new name?

Speaking of names, what do you think we should call our visiting ducks? Send your name ideas to educationinterns@shelburnemuseum.org for a chance to see your suggestions on my blog.  Interested in seeing more ducks?  Head to the Dorset House to check out the Museum's huge collection of duck decoys!
